One friend’s uncle got denied. Another sister denied. One was coming for graduation in Canada or coming to witness their niece get married.

They were both genuine visitors that missed witnessing the joy in the face of their families. In a lot of cases, they haven’t seen their relatives in years.

As an immigrant, it’s hard to hear these stories.
